Nolt's and Perry Power Equipment offer an extensive range of power equipment for Franklin, Cumberland, and Perry Counties. 



Here is a brief overview of our history: 

Nolt's Power Equipment has been in business since 1989 

Perry Power Equipment has been in business since 2010

  • 1989 Nolt's Engine Service is founded by Walter Nolt on the home dairy farm. Primary business consists of retailing Honda Engines and repairing lawn mowers.


  • 1991 The Husqvarna Forest and Garden line of chainsaws and riding mowers are added. Husqvarna has just started producing riding mower. 


  • 1992 A new 2,400 sq ft building is erected at the present location and all business operations are moved there. The business has 1 employee.


  • 1993 A 1,200 sq ft addition is build to the existing building to add warehouse space.


  • 1994 The Simplicity Lawn and Garden Tractor line is added to give customers a choice of premium products. The business now has 2 employees.


  • 1995 BCS tillers are are added to the line up. 


  • 1998 A new 3500 sq ft warehouse is built for equipment storage. The business now has 3 employees.


  • 1999 Commercial Zero-Turn Mowers become available at Nolts for the first time when Grasshopper Mowers are added. Grasshopper has just started producing a mid mount zero turn mower.


  • 1999 ECHO Power Products line is added to give customers an additional choice in handheld trimmers and chainsaws.


  • 2005  Having outgrown the current building a new 3,000 sq ft showroom is built. The old showroom is turned into parts storage.


  • 2005  The Walker Mowers line is taken on to meet a specific market demand.


  • 2005  The Snapper Line is added to the lineup


  • 2006  With a focus to diversify the customer base, the business ventures into a new direction and takes on the Kioti Compact Tractor line.


  • 2008  Walter Nolt brings two current employees, Lewis Nolt and Glenn Leid into the business and Nolts Engine Service is changed from a sole proprietorship to a Limited Liability Company. The new entity Nolts Power Equipment LLC.


  • 2009  A new 5,000 sq. ft warehouse is built for new product storage


  • 2010 Perry Power Equipment LLC is founded when Gerald Nolt and Delbert Martin decide to form a partnership and get into the lawn and garden business. Business operations are begun in a rented facility which was the former Turner Chevrolet building in Loysville.  An agreement is made with Nolts Power Equipment to provide new equipment to sell and to support Perry Power with their years of service expertise.


  • 2010 The Honda Power Equipment line of generators, water pumps and walk mowers is taken on at Perry Power Equipment. 


  • 2011  A change of ownership takes place in the business. Walter Nolt and Lewis Nolt sell their shares to Glenn Leid and Anthony Hollinger. Anthony Hollinger is also a partner with Eblings Service Plus in Myerstown PA. Walter Nolt stays on as General Manager and Lewis Nolts stays on as Sales Manager.


  • 2011 April The owners of Perry Power Equipment decide to sell their business interests to the owners of Nolts Power Equipment. Gerald Nolt stays on as General Manager and Delbert Martin stays on as Service Manager.


  • 2013 The Avant mini wheel loader is added to the line-up of high quality Equipment.


  • 2014 This year marks the 25th Anniversary for Nolts Power Equipment LLC. The business now has 13 full-time and 4 part-time employees. Perry Perry Power Equipment has 5 full-time employees.IMG_1976-1
  • 2014 Gerald Nolt purchases the former Gutshall Equipment (John Deere Dealer) building 1/2 mile outside Loysville. Perry Power Equipment operations are moved to the new location at 3720 Shermans Valley Rd.


  • 2016 Hustler Mowers are added at Perry Power Equipment. 


  • 2015 The Ferris line is added to the lineup
